We are fortunate to have received our law degrees and established careers in this noble field. We especially understand the importance of individual civil legal rights. As Chairs of this year’s Campaign for Justice, the primary fund drive for Legal Aid, please help us reach our goal of raising $750,000 to make a difference and increase the support from lawyers for this effort.

Jari Askins was elected Oklahoma’s Lieutenant Governor in 2006 after serving 12 years in the State House of Representatives representing her hometown of Duncan. She was the Democratic nominee for Governor in 2010. She now serves as Associate Provost for External Relations at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
Kathy Taylor served as Oklahoma’s Secretary of Commerce from 2003-2006 and then was elected to serve as Tulsa’s mayor from 2006-2009. She now is a partner in the law firm McAfee & Taft in Tulsa.
In addition to serving as elected officials, Askins and Taylor both are attorneys who have worked to raise Oklahoma’s quality of life for their entire careers.
