Legal Aid News > Legal Aid Ready to Help Fire Victims in Metro OKC

If your family has been victimized by wildfires and you need legal assistance concerning your rights, Legal Aid’s Oklahoma City Law Office has created a direct phone line you can call for immediate help and talk to an attorney on-the-spot.

Neil Lynn, managing attorney for the Oklahoma City office, urges people whose homes and apartments, personal possessions and/or important personal papers and files have been burned or destroyed, to call toll free 855.488.6814   for immediate counsel and advice from one of Legal Aid’s experienced staff attorneys. Additionally, Legal Aid is working with the Red Cross to set up an onsite intake area for fire victims.

“These horrific fires have displaced families, burned down their living quarters and wreaked havoc with their lives but we will help the victims with what they need to do to put their lives back together,” said Lynn. “Legal Aid stands ready to help.”

Legal Aid is a statewide not-for-profit law firm which provides free civillegal assistance to eligible low-income individuals and their families and to elderly persons in the areas of family, consumer, housing, health and employment.  Legal Aid attorneys and staff work through a network of fully-staffed law offices and satellite offices, serving eligible clients in all 77 counties of Oklahoma.

Funding for Legal Aid is from the Legal Services Corporation, the State of Oklahoma, the Oklahoma Bar Foundation, 14 United Way organizations, including the United Way of Central Oklahoma, and generous attorneys, law firms, foundations, businesses and individuals throughout the state contributing to the Campaign for Justice.

For additional information on specific services call Managing Attorney Neil Lynn at 405.229.6521.
