Michael Figgins, Executive Director
Michael served as Executive Director of Jacksonville Legal Aid for 17 years prior to joining Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma in March of 2012.

He graduated in 1980 from the Gonzaga University School of Law in Spokane, Wash.

He has spent over 23 years as a lawyer providing legal services to the poor.

Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma:

• is a non-profit law firm
• serving low-income and elderly
• Oklahomans who have civil legal problems
• has offices throughout the state, and
• has attorneys assigned to every county in Oklahoma
• helps people who can not afford to hire an attorney.

Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma seeks to ensure basic needs for clients, especially those involving:

• Freedom from harm and violence
• Access to housing
• Freedom from hunger
• Access to health care
• Income maintenance for survival

We help with civil legal problems such as:

• divorce,
• child support,
• debt collections,
• social security disability.

Legal Aid helps Senior Citizens:

• In every county of Oklahoma,
• over the age of 60 regardless of income
• by providing free legal advice, counseling and community education.

If you are not over the age of 60, you must meet certain income guidelines and to receive help from Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma.
